Who We Are
Our bodies have structural form. Our bodies house physiological biochemical reactions. Our bodies hum with electrochemical energy. We are guided by awareness. We are guided by our hearts. We are guided by our minds. We are guided by our feelings.
We are bones. We are muscles, ligaments and tendons. We are internal organs. We are brains and nerves. We are senses. We are eyes and ears, mouths and noses. We are feet and hands, legs and arms. We are fingers and toes.
We see. We hear. We taste. We feel. We know. We think. We move. We love. We live.
Everything affects everything else. There is nothing that stands alone in life. Every action ripples outward and affects everything else it touches. Every action ripples inward influencing who and how we are. We are part of, and a product of, the web of life that creates, and is present in all things.
Our spirit seeks spiritual fulfillment. Our emotions seek expression. Our bodies seek food and air and movement. Our minds seek stimulation and learning. Our imaginations seek freedom and play. Our voices sing. Our noses smell. Our ears hear. Our hearts listen for the soft voice of love.
All life seeks to live fully. All life seeks balance. All life requires free and full expression for health and vitality.
This is who we are. This is life. This is the garden in which we live. Every corner of this garden requires tending and loving care. Neglect fosters imbalance. Neglect fosters deterioration. Neglect fosters disease, rot and death.
I choose to work within this framework and understanding. I choose to nurture this balance. I choose to expose alterations and deviations from this harmony and work to set them right. I am a gardener, a servant of life, a defender of health. I dedicate myself to this work and this journey.

Holistic Care?
Holistic care is not defined by the therapy or technique used for treatment.
It is the perspective of the practitioner that determines the nature of the care provided - holistic or not.
Many chiropractors are not at all holistic.
Some medical doctors are quite holistic in their approach to care.
